On July 1, 2016, WTW Films Limited acquired the rights to the German formats of TV shows Law Suits and Family Court from Constantin Entertainment.
Law Suits and Family Court aim to explain to the viewer, using illustrative examples, issues which may be brought to court, and the way in which they are likely to be dealt with.
“Constantin Entertainment is one of Germany's biggest TV production companies and are well known for their scripted reality formats, in particular court shows. Confrontations between plaintiffs and defendants and the way the cases are presented in court give authentic feel to the proceedings and also make for some very emotional viewing. These shows performed great in Germany, and we felt they can perform just as well in Ukraine,” said Kateryna Vyshnevska, Head of Development at WTW Films Limited.
The project will enter the production stage in a week’s time. A leading Ukrainian channel has ordered 180 episodes of the program from WTW Films Limited in the given format.
